Ayinke House Extension
Description: 3 buildings i.e. 1 block of 5 storeys Admin building and 2 Nos two storey extension on the wings.
Scope of Work: Structural Design & Supervision

The structural system adopted was a rigid frame, floor slab system adopted was predominantly 300 mm thick 2 way spanning ribbed slab with Styrofoam infills supported on flat beams of same thickness and solid slabs in select areas. The project consists of several interesting tapered cantilever transfer beams (averagely 3.6 metres in length) deepened for enhanced shear rigidity to ensure compliance with client requirements. The use of the above-mentioned floor system provided large areas of column free spaces as well as a flat soffit to attach all necessary hospital utility equipment. The buildings are founded on Conventional pad bases tied with an efficient grillage of chamfered 450 × 230 ground beams.
Critical Care Unit
Description: 3 suspended floors + roof Hospital building
Scope of Work: Structural Design & Supervision

A simple reinforced concrete frame structure with solid slab panels designed to accommodate the necessary hospital equipment loads and code specific imposed loads. The concrete columns and unreinforced masonry lift walls are sized and designed accordingly to resist lateral and gravitational loads. The building is founded on stiff clayey soils with pad bases (tied with ground beams) serving as load transfer mechanisms.
